Why do you think it is important to study diversity and inclusion?

Studying diversity and inclusion provides the necessary context and understanding, empowering individuals to address challenges directly and effectively. Without prior knowledge, it's impossible to fully grasp the challenges you're attempting to confront, which is why it's crucial to examine both the past and present to tackle current and future issues.

Describe a time you felt socially connected to UCLA?

Finding a close circle of friends who were also first-generation college students from similar backgrounds helped me truly feel like UCLA could be my home. While it's wonderful to meet people from different walks of life, it was reassuring to connect with others who were facing the same struggles, making me feel less alone.
