Why do you think it is important to study diversity and inclusion?

I think it is important to study inclusion and diversity because education is a form of advocating for these two important ideals. I love hearing other people's stories and how they got to where they are now. I come across people with different upbringings, values, and interests than myself every single day, and to learn more about these differences excites me! 

Describe a time you felt socially connected to UCLA? 

The first time I remember feeling socially connected at UCLA was with my presentation group for an Asian American course that I took during my first year. I bonded with the other girls in my presentation group because all of us loved Thai food and beaches. From these small and trivial connections, I was able to make best friends who are very active in my life still.
