Why do you think it is important to study diversity and inclusion?

It is so important to study diversity and inclusion because everyone has felt as though they didn't belong at some point in their lives. If we can find a way to lessen that burden for our future generations then we have succeeded.

Describe a time you felt socially connected to UCLA?

I felt socially connected at UCLA when I arrived and realized how much of a community there is for transfer students. I lived in the transfer dorms and was able to make a group of friends who all shared the same experience as me. I love what UCLA has done to help make transfers feel welcome.
