Why do you think it is important to study diversity and inclusion? 

Diversity and inclusion is a relatively new and developing thing in American society and is always the topic of discussion, whether it be in the media, academia, or activism. It is important that we focus on them to track the growth of representation of historically underrepresented groups and to take note of how that representation changes over time.

Describe a time you felt socially connected to UCLA 

I felt socially connected to UCLA the first time I started working with the UCLA LGBTQ CRC. It's wonderful to help foster a community where everyone can relax, get to know one another, and even provide each other with resources.
