Why do you think it is important to study diversity and inclusion? 

Having grown up with the influence of multiple cultural backgrounds, I am passionate about studying diversity as I believe that the majority of racism stems from a lack of connection. When there is a deeper understanding of people who are different from you, people will be more likely to promote inclusion.

Describe a time you felt socially connected to UCLA? 

I felt socially connected to UCLA the first night on my dorm floor when I met a lot of people who were completely different to me, but were still welcoming and friendly.
