Why do you think it is important to study diversity and inclusion?
Globalization brings different cultures together and the interactions between them are affecting our daily lives. As a highly diverse country, America has been working for decades to reduce diversity related problems but some current problems are more complicated and still unaddressed. It is important to study the history and examine different methods which can increase inclusion, so that the unreasonable bias towards other group is minimized.
Describe a time you felt socially connected to UCLA?
Being in CCL made me feel so connected that I can share my thought about the current worldwide event and gain helpful advice about how to live through this specific period. As an international student, I was so glad that I can join the lab in UCLA!
